A new video where I look at installing Photogenics for the Amiga using original floppies.

How does this pan out? 🤔

I also take a look at functionality in Photogenics and leave it for you to decide, was this Photoshop for the Amiga?

New #BlueSCSI release https://github.com/BlueSCSI/BlueSCSI-v2/releases/tag/v2025.07.07

Highlights:
* USB<>SCSI Bridge
* USB Thumb Drive Mode
* SD Bootloader
* 200MHz default
* Auto Buttons on all HW
* FAST20 speed
* Interactive console

I'll highlight a few of them in this post:

USB<>SCSI Bridge

If you were holding on to those rare and expensive USB<>SCSI bridges for your retirement fund, sorry! Now your BlueSCSI can do it with a one line config.

First person to boot Windows off a Quantum Fireball SCSI drive over this gets a prize!

https://github.com/BlueSCSI/BlueSCSI-v2/wiki/USB-Bridge

USB Thumb Drive Mode

It's sometimes annoying to pull out the SD card when you want to edit a config file or copy a small file over - now BlueSCSI acts like a USB thumb drive when connected to a computer and will present the SD card or even the Images to the modern PC.

https://github.com/BlueSCSI/BlueSCSI-v2/wiki/USB-Thumb-Drive-Mode

SD card bootloader

Ya, we let this one go too long, had a bug and wanted to re-do the entire thing but we ended up just adding it back. Update by placing a bin on the sd card.

https://github.com/BlueSCSI/BlueSCSI-v2/wiki/Updating-Firmware#sd-card-methodFirmware#sd-card-method

200MHz default

The Pi Foundation said 200MHz is good and so many project already OverClock way beyond that, we thought we'd catch up now too. Can clock up to 250MHz now too for FAST20 support - up to 18MB/Sec

https://github.com/BlueSCSI/BlueSCSI-v2/wiki/Ultra-SCSI-Fast20-OverClock

Auto Buttons on all HW

Ever wanted a button to eject your CD or removable media? Well now you can add it to every hardware rev and no configuration is required!

https://github.com/BlueSCSI/BlueSCSI-v2/wiki/Buttons

Lastly this one is mostly for developers (for now) but an interactive console - just type 'h' when connected via a USB Serial program

There's lots more - checkout the release notes! /🧵

All right, it seems the CPLD flash script does not work with the newer OpenOCD 0.12.

After downgrading the deb package to version 0.11-rc2, I could unbrick my #PyStorm. Phew! 😌

Rubber feet on your Amiga turned to goo? We’ve got you covered. These OEM replacements are the exact same 3M rubber feet used by Commodore on the A500, A600, and A1200. Perfect fit. No compromises.

#Amiga #RetroComputing #Commodore
@retrorewind The same feet also fit Commodore 64s and Atari STs (among many others). :)
@janbeta Shhhh, we are waiting for the dark brown ones to arrive for the Breadbin 64s before we put them up. Don't tell anyone, lol
@retrorewind Whoops. Okay, I see. :D
@janbeta @retrorewind Holding off on my order, then. Def don't wanna pay the Orange tax twice
@48kRAM @janbeta Thankfully (and this is a very minor thanks in the current US/Canada climate) there is still a $800 de minimis between us, so no tariffs on shipments less that $800. Unless you want to spend more than $800, which is fine by me, lol.
@retrorewind @janbeta That's a LOT of rubber feet 🤣
@48kRAM @janbeta 400 hundred sets. I know you have a lot of machines but I’d be willing to bet it’s not that high.

@retrorewind

Please allow the question: is this a new product? Thanks!

@Amiga_News Define new? These have been manufactured for the past 45 years by 3M. Are they brand new feet? Yes. Are they new to our shop, yes, but like I mentioned, these specific feet have been in production for the past 45 years. They are the exact ones Commodore used, right back to the 64.
