Bah, I was just getting ready to make a refillable carbon filter for my #BambuLab printer, and now I read that the carbon must be acid free or it can corrode the machine... Good thing I didn't use it, but I have a whole liter of this stuff now 🤦‍♀️

I saw a YouTube video about a physical media cartridge player made by The Stock Pot. 🔥

After a few small adjustments, I made my own. 🤓

The cartridges contain NFC chips that trigger automations when inserted into the player.

Play Apple TV+ or Netflix shows, start Apple Music playlists, activate home automation scenes, you name it!

@olasd @LegalizeBrain Yeah, the letters of an acronym don't necessarily get pronounced the same way as the way they are in the original words. Otherwise pronouncing "laser" would be weird, something like "lass air," and "scuba" would be "skubb ah" (with the "ah" being a long-a like the initial a in "apparatus," actually, I guess it's like all the a's in "apparatus").

@olasd The creator of the format said the correct pronunciation is like “jif”, not like “gif”.

Obviously “gif” is pronounced like “giraffe”, so the correct pronunciation is “jif” like “jalapeño”.
