interesting, these acetone smoothed ABS parts have contracted and warped over time. One is vapor smoothed, the other was dipped into acetone, looks like large flat surfaces contract all the same

#OrcaSlicer 2.3.2 finally gets "actual flow" and "actual speed" previews 🥳

Should help identify print artifacts

And there we go, I designed my own riser to route the cable out the back.
Installation is a bit finicky, I don't like the two cable holders glued to the walls with no spares. But it's a nice fit!

What do you mean the bed alone is able to get the chamber temperature up to 50 degrees and I could just let it heat soak...

Got a chamber heater for my P1S :3

I need to print a riser for the glass lid in order to route the cable out, but I tested it outside the printer today. Seems to work great, if loud
Automatically turning on based on target bed temperature is killer! Even if it needs to be on WiFi

Leave it to #Biqu to release the upgrade #BambuLab wouldn't

#3dprinting pet peeve:

people modelling honeycomb patterns instead of leveraging the power of infill.
I'll take that 50% print time reduction thank you

Printing vase mode with a 0.6mm nozzle is pretty cool!
But if all goes well, I will have sold this 2 month old machine by next week at a €100 loss. This just ain't it

I picked up a cheap 0.6mm nozzle to test on my #centauricarbon and uh yeah no thanks

So here I am thinking I've struck a decent balance between too close and too far from the bed, sending off another print... And I get this absolutely terrible first layer, squished so badly the filament is bulging out

What the fuck

Not gonna lie, I feel let down by the first layer quality from my #ElegooCentauriCarbon ...
Some corners are just way more squished than others. On the old Prusa MK3 I would have the option to adjust the offset for each side, but I've found no such thing here.

I see people raving about perfect first layers on the #centauricarbon, just like I'm getting on my P1S. Am I missing something? Is the loadcell not doing its job?

I felt almost almost nostalgic when I realized I had to adjust the Z-offset, but sadly that does not take height differences into account.

I have been eyeing #Prusa 's new Galaxy Green filament, and I just earned enough points on #Printables to get two free spools.
Happy to report my voucher was approved in one business day, filament shipped fast and prints super nice!

Not like last time, where approval took two weeks and the filament I wanted sold out in the meantime 🙄
