@MennoWolff Pardons have never been overturned, so would stand for cronies. Self-pardoning is doubtful. Would T be loyal enough to issue pardons to ppl he no longer needs? Wd he remember to do it. Wd he have enough mental capacity to do it? He only does smthg to get smthg: loyalty now for promise of pardon, pardon later for J6 to keep them in his service. If he's got no future and knows it, or he becomes totally incapacitated mentally, maybe no pardons. The pardon promise and J6 example for now.

@MennoWolff Even before Trump, pardons were not that insulating, mainly bc behavior of many ppl pardoned doesn't change and they are later culpable for other acts not covered by the pardon received. And depending on pardon from and undependable source is sketchy: Trump's mental and physical health is poor, and might not issue pardons or to everyone. And for other reasons these actors may not escape the law. But social punishments may continue forever. Consider Kyle Rittenhouse.

To me, "more likely than anyone else" means their likelihood is higher than literally everyone else present, and "more likely than anyone here" makes that include themselves, which is impossible.
