One of the most affirming things I have learned about being a functional* adult** is that yes, everyone else lets fruit and salad kits and stuff rot in their fridge too.

If you are a writer and do not include #LGBT characters because you "don't know the life" or whatever:

Just take one of your existing characters and make them gay, trans, lesbian, whatever. Take a guy and replace "girlfriend" with "boyfriend". Minor changes only. They do NOT need a tragic backstory.

You control the world you write: you don't need to include the implications of millions of years of bigotry unless you want to. Nobody needs to be shitty to your LGBT chars.

Are Q tips "safe" for cats? Soot absolutely flips out when she finds them, brings them to me (her "new exciting toy" behavior), goes wild with them. I try and sneak them away from her when she isn't looking.

I need a good phone camera mount, ideally that also works as a "real" camera mount.

Recommendations? I got a cheapo ring light one on Amazon but my Pixel 8 Pro is too heavy for it. Also, should I get a ringlight or a different king of light? Mostly for selfies/modeling in-home.

Unprecedented levels of fuckery are obviously coming to the #US #election.

Make sure you have all your documents in order, especially stuff with your new name if you are #trans or even recently married.

Personally, I need my birth certificate reissued, then a new passport and "real ID".

...and please stop voting in the monsters who add these voting restrictions. The guys trying to restrict voting are always the bad guys, like the guys who ban books.
