Camellia perfection!

Just gorgeous – on the bush, and carpeting the ground pink. šŸ˜

@davepell @tchambers Small correction from an Australian's perspective: Not "is losing" ... "has lost."

@brembs @ZBMED @kuf My guess is it can wait a week, but I recommend emailing Miriam Albers (via here https://www.zbmed.de/forschen/laufende-projekte/olspub)

So glad you're doing this!

@Perryax @PLOS No news, though I check every month. It was one of the vaxes in the WHO Solidarity Trial for Vaccines (phase 3) - no news on that trial at all. Impossible to know what's going on (though generally such a long silence is not a good sign).

Motivated Reasoning’s Golden Age

It has been doing my head in the last few weeks: Cherry-picked theories and approaches to evidence were gushing at me on so many topics in science communities. It slowly dawned on me that it wasn't a coincidence. Motivated reasoning may be both cause and effect of polarization and partisanship, so maybe it's having a bit of a Golden Age.

@FediThing @PLOS Thanks! Yes - if anything, it will speed things up elsewhere, as companies shift towards affiliates/partners outside the US and non-US scientists/companies/governments identify the US' lost opportunities.
Sanctions, Recognition & Peace for Palestine

We call for an end to the occupation of Palestine and a just and sustainable peace in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, including the removal of illegal settlements, the withdrawal of Israel from all Palestinian lands along with the dismantling of the separation wall. Implementing a two-state solution is the path to lasting peace, safety and security for both the peoples of Israel and Palestine.

Lots to learn about nasal Covid vax in my latest nextgen vax update @PLOS:

- 1st trial results for intranasal Covid DNA vax, with some signs it can reduce infection;

- Researchers in Japan developed over 200 monoclonal antibodies from nasally-vaxed mice to study immunity's molecular processes;

- UK authorization for nextgen mRNA vax being sought soon;

- US takes bizarre funding turn;

- 7th pancoronavirus vax going into clinical trial & more
