Why are movies so unbearably long now? Apparently the new Avatar movie is 3 hours 12 minutes long. I think my bladder might prefer if I just wait for it to inevitably come to streaming platforms.
A #transit riddle for your consideration: there are 3 bikes on the #VTA light rail. How many of them are on the provided bike racks that keep them nicely out of the way?

Sharing some of my favorite photos from my #Amtrak #Coaststarlight adventure, LAX to SJC. What a wonderful way to travel within #California (if you've go the time). And, incredibly, it was only running 30 minutes late by the time it made it to SJC!

Am I the only one dumb enough to think #Goncharov was a real movie? Of course, my pop culture knowledge is so lacking that it wouldn't be overly surprising. I'm honestly impressed that the Tumblr machine managed to invent a movie.
Excited for the continuation of a #train filled weekend tomorrow. Taking the #amtrak San Joaquins down to LA tomorrow. Spend a few days getting around via the metro, and then take the Coast Starlight back up on Monday!

There's something extremely satisfying about gazing out the window of the #ACEtrain upon the hordes of traffic on i-680 as we glide by, unobstructed. Ride #trains, they're great.

#Diridon is a nice station, it's perfectly adequate for what it does (right now). But why the hell does #SiliconValley's main train station have a CASH only Cafe?
Related, I think Fresno is a cursed location for my family. Tried to go last year for Thanksgiving, but had to cancel because half the family was exposed to covid and didn't want to risk it. This year, death in the family. Not sure we should risk next year for fear of further escalation in cosmic consequences.
It's always a little odd when a distant family member dies and you didn't have close ties with them. Your brain says that it's logical to be sad, but it's impossible to make yourself feel something doesn't come readily. I just had a great uncle pass away, and frankly I'm more annoyed about the way it messed up our Thanksgiving plans than upset about his death. So now I need to go question my humanity and relationships for a few hours.
