In a reversal of my previous life, my former go-to diner lunch of tuna on toast and a Diet Coke with lemon is now my special work-from-home lunch treat

Pouring one tonight I’m honour of one of the most fascinating people I have ever known, and fortunate to have had her in the family. My great-Aunt Judy, my grandmother’s sister, just shy of her 100th birthday. She was a musician, an activist, a radical bookstore owner, a proud leftist, Local 802 communications director, mother, grandmother, aunt, and ally. Thanks to her I’ve met incredibly interesting people, from Black Panthers to jazz cats. Love to my cousins.

Excited to share my upcoming performances — I’ll be joining the Disco Squad YVR for a spanking fun Valentine’s group number on Feb 14 at the Rio, then performing my #yiddish #burlesque at Bad Company’s Bad Romance show on Feb 18 at the Morrissey. The number makes another appearance at History Uncovered at the Beaumont on March 4. Come to one or all three!
