@MostlyHarmless lmao it's center-right liberalism. at least it puts domestic pressure on the regime under these circumstances. but anyone thinking "yeah, it was good before that" was in the minority in the US who still make a living wage or the majority who can't imagine better anyway because they have no historical literacy wrt geopolitics besides what uncle sam and his many faces told them.

I think #NoKings was a good message if the goal was to get as many people onto the streets as possible (I assume that was the case).

I heard from protest researcher Tareq Sydiq (University of Marburg) that you're more likely to get big protests if
a) the message is vague rather than overly precise and
b) you're against something/someone (as opposed to being FOR something).
