It sounds like the suspected WHCD "shooter," while armed, never fired a single shot and obviously never got close to Trump or anyone else. The only shooters appear to be the Secret Service, with one case of friendly fire and every other shot missing the suspect.
The DOJ appears very keen to obfuscate this, though.

The jail’s healthcare provider is affiliated with Armor Health companies, which have a history of delaying or denying care to inmates across the country, lawsuits allege.
