RFK Jr. promotes a food company that makes ultraprocessed meals

Health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. raved in social media posts on Monday about the $7-a-pop meals that are delivered directly to the homes of Medicaid and Medicare enrollees. He even thanked Mom’s Meals for sending taxpayer-funded meals “without additives” to the homes of sick or elderly Americans. The spreads include chicken bacon ranch pasta for dinner and French toast sticks with fruit or ham patties. But an Associated Press review of Mom’s Meals menu, including the ingredients and nutrition labels, reveals that the company’s foods are the type of heat-and-eat, ultraprocessed food that Kennedy routinely criticizes.

It's difficult to believe anything will be different about climate change. Why would it?

If salvation is in the words, not the works, and demanding change is demanding ostracism and excommunication... what other path it there but embracing death, and through inaction the promised rewards of heaven?

I love that the Deutsche Bahn app, which houses all my PII including date of birth and the fact that I have a discount card, asks me every time I book a ticket to tell it a) my age on the date of travel and b) whether I have a discount card and which type it is.

My basic impression after living here for four years is that Germans are the absolute worst at making websites or apps that are beautiful, simple, and easy to use. They are ranked at number 1020 on the list of the Top 100 Countries (where 1 is the best and 100 is the worst) at making human-usable digital content.

For example, one of the disposable e-cigarettes studied released more lead during a day’s use than nearly 20 packs of traditional cigarettes.

@lowqualityfacts funny fact (though I am vague on part of it): there’s a place in Turkey (yes I know they want another name now but I don’t know it) called Batman. That’s certain. My understanding is that they claim that they can be the only Batman. But here’s the thing: a batman (pl. batmen) is a (British) officer’s (in military) personal servant. So Turkey is barking up MANY wrong trees there.

Edit: okay technically it’s a dated term but that doesn’t even matter here.
