He said that cops never stop speeders and are frequently the worst offenders going faster in the bus lanes than anyone else. He explained they don't have these problems in Mexico since they put concrete bumps in the road to stop this

He was walking on the sidewalk at 91st and International when a speeding driver collided with a parked car. The driver was speeding with such force that the collision pushed the parked car onto the curb and killed him

On April 4, 2023, USA Cycling champion Ethan Boyes was killed by a driver on Arguello in the Presidio and, on November 17, 2022, a 16-year old on a bicycle was critically injured by a car driver on Arguello at California. In 2022, 37 people died on San Francisco streets due to traffic violence, with only two more years to reach Vision Zero (zero traffic fatalities and injuries). The City and County of San Francisco adopted Vision Zero as a policy in 2014, committing to build better and safer streets, educate the public on traffic safety, enforce traffic laws, and adopt policy changes that save lives. This petition is calling for protected bike lanes on Arguello Boulevard between Fulton Street and Washington Boulevard in the Presidio.
