I am really proud of this talk about adopting #rust, aka #rustlang, at work. I spent many hours thinking about what would work and I am quite happy with the result. I hope that you enjoy watching! https://youtu.be/4DLhTPsg8QQ

I saw a sticker that someone had put on their cycle: ""ONE TESLA FEWER""

Q3. Are there any stickers that you've seen on cycles that have been particularly enjoyable or interesting? Photos are welcome of course!

@jwildeboer PSA: Anyone here who gave up on #OpenSCAD because it was too slow, but otherwise enjoys CSG modeling in code, should try the development versions of OpenSCAD, and enable the manifold option that uses the new Manifold CSG kernel created by Emmett Lalish. It's blazingly fast, even for some of those operations that you might have previously used sparingly like minkowski. Additionally, whereas it has been pretty common in the past for OpenSCAD to produce trivially non-manifold output (which slicers have had to work around), the Manifold kernel produces manifold output models (modulo increasingly rare bugs).

@N4JAW @OH3CUF my default antenna for /p is this telescopic vertical I built: https://draussenfunker.de/diy/teleskop-viertelwellen-vertical.html

DX to the US and Canada is not uncommon on my POTA activations from Germany. Just worked the US and Canada on 20m today.

Bonus: there is a coil on Aliexpress that brings this thing to the 40m band. Works quite good.

And it has an incredible small footprint. 5m Ina diamater on the ground.

@ed209 There's an Alinco (FM) handheld which works great for this. I modded a couple of (old) 900Mhz public safety radios, but the Alinco is superior. Hard to find, however.
Commercial interests looking to change 900Mhz rules (where ham radio has an increasingly small allocation)--likely to cause major interference issues and undercut ability of amateurs to use the band. #hamradio http://arrl.org/news/arrl-urges-protecting-the-amateur-radio-902-928-mhz-band
