I think it was British Petroleum that first promoted the idea of an individual "Carbon Footprint".

Their agenda was to promote the idea that it was up to an individual to reduce their own carbon footprint. In other words, the capitalist idealogy that the free market will mitigate climate change. Which is complete nonsense. But, it paved the way for industries to avoid accountability for their planetary-scale ecological degrading activities.

For the most part System Mono maintains the same glyph set as its proportional counterparts, but I couldn’t help adding box-drawing and block elements for terminal graphics.

(This doesn’t mean it’s specifically intended for programming — although if you enjoy using it for code, you certainly can. I just think these glyphs are broadly useful, and they’re fun to draw.)
