Greetings!

Please note! I often write about ecological sustainability. Furthermore, I don't try to "sugarcoat" the scale of the challenge - if people are going to reduce the impact of their ecologically degrading societies.

I study Evolutionary Biology, Conservation Biology (Ecology) & human psychology.
All the scientific & traditionally inherited knowledge is known regarding how to mitigate ecological degradation.

+ The effects of climate change will motivate change.

So, Mastodon, as it stands, will just become a network of social eco chambers.

You can change the network, but the general psychology of the people on the network is the same! (e.g., #twitter migration)

#psychology of social polarization.

Defederated social networks.

Can ethical #Mastodon #admin learn to mitigate against organized corruption?

I've always spoken out against bullies, racists, etc. That means my posts may attract rotten "eggs".

I've noticed that the (dishonest) bad agents, delete their replies in which l was critical of their rhetoric & then report me for "harassment". Then the admin sends me a warning with the (one-sided) "proof" of me "intentionally" escalating an argument.

If ethical folk R being silenced?

A novel #society must have:

1. #Democratic accountability (transparency). This will mitigate the dominant, the aggressor, from achieving a top-down authoritarianism. For example, the majority, the people, regulate the #police & #military ,not an elitist government.

2. Equal human rights (all equal, regardless of wealth, age, sex or any other demographics)

3. To sustain the novel society, #ecological #sustainability must be at the heart of #political & #economic decision making.

Have you noticed how #capitalism & #socialism promote exploitation of nature? And a, implicit or explicit, top-down dominance that enforces a androcentric world view.

"trickle down" economics has historically been the norm in capitalist, socialist & communist cultures. Male Dominance being the common denominator.
