Went to check out our pop up in Roppongi.

Writing is hard work. Sometimes we can focus for hours without feeling any strain. Sometimes we feel exhausted before completing the first paragraph, and we don’t know why. What can we do to get—and stay—in the flow?

Back at my favorite topic: "We can fully attend to only one thing at a time. Multitasking is an illusion. Task switching is expensive. To write well, you need to protect your focus. You either write, structure, or format. Avoid doing everything at once. You’ll write better, and enjoy it more." I wrote this almost a year ago. Not sure why I didn't press publish. https://ia.net/topics/separate-writing-and-formatting

Pssssst … not on the website yet, but @reichenstein and @bramus are also part of the line-up for #btconf Düsseldorf. ;)

Just posted my post about Microsoft Office and how obsolete it is, Siri hon the bus, and then I hear two women complaining about... Microsoft.

"You know why it's so crazy? Teams made for people that are not like me. Very boring people with only one email account."
"They surely exist."
"Maybe. But since everybody uses it, I have to use it, too."
"Sometimes I wonder if these boring people exist though, or if it is made for people that don't exist."
"I don't know but it does drive me crazy."

Was laughing tears writing the first few versions of this blog post. I toned it down a bit to make sure that one would understand that, in spite of all its very real absurdity, it in fact is a serious topic. I hope one can still feel how much I enjoyed writing it. It evolved out of the six posts I wrote on Markdown, last year. Still four to go.

This series of wallpapers has been an incredible amount of work. I thought that we could easily do one set per day. Such a rookie mistake. Definitely not going to happen next year. (Famous last words.)

Charts are coming to iA Presenter, soon. A big step... in fact, two big steps. We’re looking for more testers.
