I'm not seeing much comment on it in my feed so...
Today, hundreds of trans people and allies turned up to lobby Parliament in an event organised by Trans Solidarity Alliance about the horrible situation in which trans peeps find ourselves in the UK.
I couldn't make it, because I live nearly 300 miles away, I got autistic demand avoidance from not being able to find out how it would all work, and my MH would have made it too difficult. Still...
Parliament couldn't cope. They were overwhelmed despite having had notice of the numbers and some folks had to wait for hours to get in. It's been suggested that the authorities expected only a few to turn up, as happens when the transphobes do their thing.
Anyway, it seems to have been a huge success. Thanks to the organisers, thanks to those who went, and let's all hope that MPs listen and end this Starmer-led horror show that has many trans folk including me wanting to leave the country.
