I got the power

#solarpower

Finally! Solar power is ready to rock. Installation completed. Inverter and Battery connected and officially in production ready. Hoping for good weather tomorrow. lets see what 14kWp can do. #solar #solarpower

Guess when it started raining...

#solarpower

It took "just" a month of bureaucracy and many wasted cloudless sunny days/weeks, but it's finally operational.

And just as we turned it on, a huge thunderstorm cloud covered the whole sky and we had a downpour of rain. Sign of the weather to come as per Murphy's laws?

I wondered: do solar panels generate any electricity during a full moon?

Quick search says that a full moon is between 0.03% and 0.3% of a sunny day. That is not enough to activate the inverters that convert the DC back to AC.

I'll post an update on this once we get to our next cloudless full moon. #SolarPower #MoonPower

Clean energy surge leads to historic coal decline in China and India | The Optimist Daily

For the first time since the 1970s, coal power fell in China and India thanks to a massive clean energy expansion. Here’s why that matters globally.

Been on-the-fence for years about getting solar panels. Needed to fix the roof first, which I did early this year. Now the solar panels were installed today.

Electric meter is running backwards, even on this very overcast day. I'm so excited about this. Finally feel like I'm doing something to help. #SolarPower #Okanagan #BC
