I'm super-chuffed that today my rooftop PV system has produced enough power for three minutes of Eiffel Tower lighting. 😂

There's a bit of a scale mismatch here...if Enphase wanted me to be pumped it should tell me how many years of battery life I've produced for my TV remote.

#solar #PV

FAQ: https://shkspr.mobi/blog/solar-faq/

A little bit of a hiccup today that, in hindsight, I really should have seen coming [1]

Outside temperatures were in the thirties (°C), so the battery, being built to protect itself against aggressive use, started rotating a fan according to the room temperature

In summary: the battery has been using additional 50 kWh consistently all day for cooling purposes, even after the sun set, and it actually needed recharging from the grid

/cc @solaradmin fiy watch out for this?

[1] the air-water heat pump has the same issue

#solar #HeatPump

East/South East (8x 400w panels) panels generated - 15.7 kWh

West/North (6x 400w panels) panels generated - 10.5 kWh

Solar generated - 26.2 kWh

Solcast forecasted - 25.73 kWh

Imported from the grid - 0.4 kWh - Cost (inc standing charge) £0.58

Exported 6.1 kWh Export profit - £0.91

8.0 kWh went into the battery

Battery used - 5.4 kWh

House consumed - 16.6 kWh

Electricity cost for the day at 9pm (minus is a profit) is £-0.34

Today an #offgrid #solar system repeatedly keeps jumping into my mind.

How do I keep the accumulators warm during winter?

Testing the new #Battery and/or #Solar-powered #Ecoflow #Wave3 A/C-heater-dehumidifier I bought for hurricanes and power outages.

So far with just that running in the lanai, it's keeping the room a nice 71℉! It's not that hot outside today, but the lanai has a metal (insulated) roof, so it tends to get hot w/sun. Also, it's keeping it at ~60% Humidity too. All that and it's running less than 300w!

Happy camper so far. (Cardboard box to insulate vibrations from wooden floor else harmonics! 😳)

Super Idee. Knopf drücken - Erklärung kommt aus dem Lautsprecher. #Murgtal erleben Schade.
