Is this painting of King Louis XIV and Molière a lie?
There’s no evidence that Molière dined with the Sun King. Furthermore, if it did happen, it didn’t look like this painting. And I’m not just talking about the lighting.
The work was painted in 1862 by Jean-Léon Gérôme, who was one of the most important artists of his time.

This is what it says about itself:
"(Fedified) is *the* way to make sure that you're following the account managed by the same person you used to follow on Twitter."
It wants to be a central authority. This is dangerous, and opposite to what the #Fediverse stands for.
People become dependent on a central authority, then it gets bought out by billionaires.

One of the oldest references that came up on Google was The Letter Bag of the Great Western (1840) by Thomas Chandler Haliburton. I needed to track down this book and I was in luck: there was a copy at the Toronto Reference Library. I went down a serious rabbit hole that day. Let me tell you about the best bits.

At Toronto Reference Library today looking at a book from 1840. It came with two layers of slip cases and the librarian provided a foam cradle to protect the spine.
I want to combine Canadian census data with provincial and municipal voting data. I have voting data, which is sub-divided into polls, which map nicely to Forward Sortation Codes (FSAs)
I can find Canadian census data by FSAs for 2016, but not for 2021. Should I stitch together Dissemination Areas (DA)? Does a nice mapping exist?
Please boost to me connect with the right person. Thank you!
