I seem to have hit a few sore spots by pointing out the lack of WiFi and BT + GPS at an additional cost in the Yaesu FTX-1F.

I think Yaesu blew on that & no full-duplex (as rumored).

I seen comments online that IC-705s are overheating when using FT8 & other digi modes.

Thus far, after hours of constant operation, I haven't managed to replicate this, including during current hot weather.

Which makes me suspect those with issues are over-driving their radios!

Interesting conditions here on 10m for most of the day. Besides some local UK stations, a few CT, no Europe or NA/Asia on FT8.

Just ZS / 7Q6 and other African stations below the equator.

Lunch break test of JPC-7 antenna with two coils + 5.5m whip. Tunes 80m-6m with SWR below 1.5 on most bands.

Not too bad result given today's conditions.
