Big news! Today I'm launching a new project and would like to hear your feedback.

The project is called NetFinder, and it's designed to be the definitive Ham Radio net directory.

It's early days and very ambitious, but there's enough there to start kicking the tires. I'd love to hear what you think!

Introducing NetFinder - The Definitive Ham Radio Net Directory

NetFinder is a new project serving as the central source of net information among Amateur Radio operators.

Something from Chemical & Engineering News (via Facebook last year):

Baking Soda Versus Baking Powder

“Baking soda and baking powder are two common ingredients in baked goods. Here we take a look at what these leavening agents are made of and how they help your cookies, muffins, and cakes rise.”

Wouldn’t be an evening of #3DPrinting if I didn’t have to re-level the bed. Got it tuned in on the first try, though. First print was only a little messed up.

Yes, I know I need an auto-level system. It just hasn’t gotten bad enough yet. I only need to do it every few months.

Debugging battery charging on the ‘69 #vw #beetle. Looks like it gets about 5-ish amps at idle. So, that’s good. Should probably be higher, but it is charging at least.

The moment I turn on the headlights it goes negative. Not much in there, has to be either the generator or voltage regulator I would assume.

20m is really great at the moment in to Europe from New England. That was way too easy to get a few new countries. #HamRadio
@fribbledom on soft-closing lids *and* the awkwardness of accidentally slamming the lid whenever you use the toilet somewhere else!
If you don't have soft-closing toilet seats, you're thoroughly missing out!
New adulting level achieved: have septic tank pumped. Never thought I’d have to hire someone to do that, but here we are. There are basically all negatives to having your own concrete 💩 tank in your yard.

Well, I found a use for the Pine A64 compute board I got probably around 2016 — an ADSB receiver (paired with a HackRF I don’t use enough too).

Sometimes hoarding electronics pays off? 😆

NEW: The federal e-bike bill is back!

A bill introduced Tuesday would offer Americans up to $1,500 off a new e-bike. The basics:

→ E-bikes, e-cargo bikes, and e-trikes are eligible
→ Bike price capped at $8,000
→ Max credit of $1,500 or 30% of purchase price
→ Income cap of $150k for singles or $300k for joint filers
→ Eligible e-bikes must be certified for safety (a nod toward fire risk from cheap, imported models)
