Wages for Senators and House members: $174,000 X 531 members and Leaders get $223,500 and minority get $193,400, PLUS IN 2025 they get $843.6 Million to run offices and meet with constituents and travel etc. That’s $1,576,822 per representative. I think it's critical not just to condemn Trump's and Vance's disgraceful treatment of Zelensky in the Oval Office, but also to reject the administration's implicit framing of US assistance as being about getting the "best deal" for us.

Aid to Ukraine is not a business deal. It is about bolstering the defenses of an ally facing an existential threat and about containing an aggressive menace to international peace.
