“What good do you think can come from putting a label on it?” – my GP when I requested a referral to a specialist
Being undiagnosed never protected me from labels. Growing up, I was labelled constantly. Lazy, careless, stupid, weird, rude, clumsy, fussy, a daydreamer, a show off, a liar. I can’t say that a diagnosis would have prevented that (this was the 90s after all), but it would have been something.
nice to meet you!
