what if i have a stroke and dont notice it because its definitely *not* the worst headache ive ever had?

this is why i end up checking if i can smile evenly when im having a migraine.

Have had #migraines since puberty - 40 years now. Course is always: pain, vomiting, need to be not-present because presence causes more pain, 3 hours or so. Then 3 hours of soundly sleeping. Reliable pattern that lays waste to a day, easy.
Modified recently by #eletriptan, which decreases the pain and allows me to be present in the world. Wonderful drug.

Today, for the first time, it was preceded (though there was no pain, so I had no idea) by visual field deficits that FREAKED ME RIGHT OUT. Clearly in my brain, not an eye. I do not want brain troubles. I live in there.

To those migraineurs who get this '#aura' shit regularly - that I previously classed as 'no biggie compared to the pain'; I am so sorry. The first time it happens it is absolutely terrifying.
