I'm also working on a PhD looking at haunted houses in contemporary Hollywood cinema AND I write dark fantasy and Gothic horror!

Still lots of unknowns & we’ll see how it all shakes out over time, but IMHO a decentralized network likely fosters trust & relationships in a way Twitter can’t. And that feels more sustainable over time. (FWIW I study community sustainability).

Also, so far it’s more pleasant here for women. #TwitterMigration

Reminder to please CW anything to do with politics and particularly “look at the awful things these right-wingers are doing”. Being able to choose when and how to engage is important and makes a big difference to the overall mood of the timeline.

And please don’t boost politics posts with no CWs either - I’ve been seeing a lot of that recently from new arrivals
