From an ice storm in last month. No power for 2 days, but lots of interesting sights (while it was light out, at least).

I headed out to photograph birds this morning but they weren't cooperating. I switched of to macro and came upon this shy Blackeyed Susan in the Croatan forest. Despite her reservations about being photographed, I think her portrait turned out quite nice.
