It's late for sourgrass, but no weed patch in California would be complete without them. These are much larger than the other flowers on this thread, more than 3cm (1") across.
Not your usual dandelions. These are less than 1cm (⅜") across and stand over 20cm (10") high. You can see the purple stork's-bill nestled in below them.

I caught blossom season in Japan during one of my pre-pandemic visits, admiring the plum blossoms which usually come before cherry blossoms. Not quite as famous as cherry blossoms, but they can look similar enough / the same to the uninitiated.
This is a Japanese white-eye perched on a plum blossom branch in Tokyo's Koishikawa Korakuen Garden.

For every pimpernel in the back yard there are 10 of these. The blooms are just over 1cm (½ inch) across. I think they're called clasping bellflower, but would love to hear from someone who knows for sure. Searching for flowers by description just yields a page-full of for-profit stock photography sites, none of which include the flower's name.
