That thing where you spend a week "reorganising" your bookshelves ie sorting books into a giveaway pile that you can't bear to actually give away plus re-reading fabulous old favourites you'd forgotten you had.

The shelves remain disorderly, but I have an even larger TBR pile, and am too happy to care.

Here’s my #introduction.

I’m Christie. I’m #queer and live with my wife of several years in Portland, OR. We have an older English bulldog named Bertie and a younger grey and white tabby cat named Ursa Minor.

My day job is in #InfrastructureEngineering with a big tech company. I’m the technical lead for a team that provides a virtual compute platform globally for our business unit. I’m really good at it, in terms of people, tech, and process.

I used to be quite heavily involved in Open Source and tech community organizing. Less so now, mostly because maintaining my health takes a lot of energy.

I have both #MultipleSclerosis and #SjögrensSyndrome. This means the pandemic isn’t over for our family. We still mask in public and limit outings to essentials. I’m pretty angry at how our government has failed to anything but the barest minimum to mitigate COVID-19 spread and impact.

For fun I like to tinker with computers, make art with #Photography and #WaterColor, and play #TabletopGames as well as #VideoGames. #Civilization and #Skyrim are two of my fav video games. I love #MagicTheGathering, tho it’s hard to keep up these days. TV brings me a lot of comfort and I’m a big fan of rewatches. Podcasts about TV? Mmm yeah. Tasty.

I’m interested in #Antifascist organizing, #MutualAid and #CommunityDefense. I’d like to figure out how to be in community in ways that work with my disabilities.
