Can I ask the community about Lymphocyte count. My recent blood test showed it was 0.6. I'm not on any MS treatments that would lower my immune system. I'm wondering if that level is why I cannot fight this virus I've had. I feel so awful and weak. Should I ask for them to recheck my lymphocytes? Thank you in advance xx
@Samantha72 Hi @SilverGorilla2 @Tina_Meyer @Lomelindi12 Do you have any experience of Lymphocyte levels that might help Samantha? Thanks.

Hi (have just cut & pasted your names so apologies for any duplication)

Your reading is on the low side. Medics would want to know for how long ie is it chronic or new? Any recent steroids or infections? Stress can also depress them.

I’d also ask for a breakdown of different lymphocytes- eg neutrophils, T & C lymphocytes.

I remember a good newsletter from dr G. Giovannoni about lymphopenia, can't find it, but I have a translation in french and 1 scientific article:

https://www.forseps.org/t3106-lymphocytes-lymphopenie?highlight=Lymphop%C3%A9nie#33738

https://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article?id=10.1371/journal.pmed.1002685

Lymphopenia according to WHO

 DegrĂ© 0> = 1000 / mm3

 DegrĂ© 1 = 800-999 / mm3

 DegrĂ© 2 = 500-799 / mm3

 DegrĂ© 3 = 200-499 / mm3

 DegrĂ© 4 <200 / mm3

Sorry having the flu and high temperature, can't do more at the moment 🌡️🤒
