It was anarchy out there. People were growing vegetables in the street
Arrived in #brussels and I think tomorrow will be flying ant day.

At Kingscross waiting for Eurostar. There's a free open air cinema showing Despicable Me. The geese seem to be enjoying it.

Son has finished school so we've gone on holiday before other schools break up. Going to Brussels for a few days.
Now at Kings Cross in London admiring the pretty buildings.

80s New Wave bands looked so cool
@flargh General Zod Trio
@flargh Are you sure that isn’t Three Dog Night?

@the_other_jon three zod night.

Kal-El told me not to come 🎶

@flargh This is a strong Halloween look for a Throuple
@Lazarou honestly the right couple could pull it off. Whoever Januses this is a fucking hero.
@flargh so that's not a screenshot from a Star Trek mirror universe episode @lisamelton

@brandonscript @flargh @lisamelton

That's the band ZOD, and was featured in the 80's cult classic The Karate Kid

@flargh Looks like a Blake's 7 landing party.
@flargh
Out of this world…
@flargh they truly crashed a glass ceiling.
@faraiwe Thank you, this post started in my head as a Phantom Zone reference so I feel it's now come full circle

@flargh

Terence Stamp always looked awesome.

@flargh

I saw "The Collector" when it came out in the 1960s, ( was in junior high and I think my parents thought is was a natural history thing) and even though it remains to this day a scary movie, it made me a Terence Stamp fan for life. And John Fowles, of course.

@flargh I didn’t know that the father of the Salvadoran president was Zod
@flargh If by "cool" you mean "very silly," sure.

@flargh

+1 for using the correct term New Wave instead of Goth.😬

@flargh 70s experimental rock band
@flargh These guys too:
@jon_alper My perfect alternate universe is where this was a bigger franchise than Indiana Jones and the Amiga became the dominant PC platform of the 1980s.
@jon_alper It's also where the Smithereens are the biggest band from Jersey and everyone is like "Bon what?"
@flargh @jon_alper welp, time for a Smithereens marathon
@flargh @jon_alper
