Adolescence on Netflix is not an easy piece. It doesn't feel good.

But it is an extremely impressive piece of work from every possible angle and you should watch it.

Get the fuck off X, for fuck's sake!

No more 'I don't agree with Hitler, but I need the Reich Chancellery for my business/friends/followers' excuses.

You are part of the problem now. You are an enabler.

If your identity crumbles when someone else gets rights, it wasn’t much of an identity.

Interesting article reporting that Android will soon give Gemini broadened access to phones and the apps they run, even when Gemini has not been turned on. Article gos on to say people who don't want this should "open the Gemini app from your Android device" and turn off each app extension. Sounds simple enough, but I'm not finding any Gemini app installed on my pixel. Can anyone help me figure out what precisely people must do too keep Gemini off of their android devices? https://tuta.com/blog/how-to-disable-gemini-on-android#_

No.

It doesn't look worse.

It looks exactly the same.

She got her constituents as much as she could and then she sold out the country, consequences be damned.

Everything else was empty theater. She knew it was. We knew it was, and the press should have known it was.

After House Republicans ignored her appeals, Lisa Murkowski’s vote looks even worse

Lisa Murkowski cast an indefensible vote in favor of the Republicans' megabill. After the House approved the same package, her vote now looks even worse.

BTW, NASA and other astro-peeps, can we change the name from 'interstellar visitor' to something that DOES NOT IMPLY, well, a 'visitor'??? Rocks aren't visitors.

Because we're going to spend a month hearing how 'NASA said it was an alien visitor'.

This WaPo story about an increase in people sending AI note takers to Zoom meetings in their stead conjures up the scene from the awesome 1985 comedy, Real Genius, where by the end of the semester all of the chairs are filled with tape recorders and the professor has left a recording of the lesson playing at the front of the class.

No one likes meetings. They’re sending their AI note takers instead.

Artificial intelligence apps that record and summarize meetings can tempt workers into skipping calls, leaving humans who join in the company of silent bots.

The Washington Post

Al Franken an incredibly articulate and capable Senator who allegedly did some very creepy kiss things and some icky sexist fully clothed gropey photo things. Most while a comedian before he was elected.

The allegations are of unacceptable behavior but, in the hit parade of politicians & unacceptable behavior, they're minor. Compared to what's revealed daily now? They’re in the ‘apologize, be ashamed, contrite & never again' bucket.

Chuck Schumer made him resign.

Here are some Democrats that, had people elected them to the Senate or kept them in the Senate, would have voted against the Republican/Trump disaster bill. Colin Allred Mandela Barnes Val Demmings Teresa Greenfield Jaime Harrison Doug Jones Mark Pryor Blanche Lincoln Russ Feingold Claire McCaskill Joe Donnelly Bill Nelson Bob Casey, Jr. Sherrod Brown Jon Tester Tim Ryan Having some of them in the Senate could have prevented this dark moment from happening. Elections matter.

@tankgrrl DOUBLE BLARRGH!

Came in at 11:10AM allegedly and somehow I missed it.. and now?

Every once in a while, someone tells me that an abusive partner left them alone because they were afraid of what I would do if they didn't, and I feel like I have done something right.
