"And they just…took it. They took the best work of my mind and used it to build the very thing that is actively ruining just about everything all the time. They took the books I wrote for children and used them to make it possible for children to not bother with reading ever again. They took the books I wrote about love to create chatbots that isolate people and prevent them from finding human love in the real world, that make it difficult for them to even stand real love, which is not always agreeable, not always positive, not always focused on end-user engagement. They took the books I wrote about hope and glitter in the face of despair and oppression and used it to make a Despair-and-Oppression generator.

They took my heart and used it to replace me and everyone else."

Blood Money: The Anthropic Settlement

The actual audacity of it all

Welcome to Garbagetown

I've been thinking all week about the work that @kandid published last week. The spiral is particularly fetching.

I want it to see it rotating and tried animating it, but it turns out that the barber-pole illusion makes it very difficult.

This is just a test. Again, the original picture is by @kandid. Kudos to Thomas for his wonderful work.

We’ve been experimenting with the transparency toolkit from HeyGears to create optically clear models of radiolarians, microscopic single-celled marine organisms that build intricate glass skeletons with stunning geometric complexity.

We’ve been designing and printing radiolarians in transparent resin for a while, but this is the first time we’ve been able to make them truly clear.

From testimony and denunciation to irony and humor: A 50-year cultural battle for the memory of the dictatorship in Argentina

The anniversary of the military coup finds the country under a government that downplays state terrorism, while literature, film, and other art forms continue to elaborate on the legacy of the genocide

Hi everyone, Typozon.xyz is looking for an experienced typeface designer to work on the development of existing and new projects. The focus of this role is on development and production.

I made a lot of sketches of lapwings in flight and decided to make an animation out of them. The northern lapwing aka Vanellus vanellus aka kievit aka vanneau huppé is one of my many favourite birds.
