I made a lot of sketches of lapwings in flight and decided to make an animation out of them. The northern lapwing aka Vanellus vanellus aka kievit aka vanneau huppé is one of my many favourite birds.

Something I posted this morning reminded me that I have these photos I’ve been wanting to scan.
The Space Shuttle Enterprise was on tour, and made a stop at Dulles International in June 1983* (that’s the date on the back of the pics). I was twelve at the time, we got a spot up front. Here’s a few shots I got with my little instamatic camera.

*I had thought it was when the Enterprise was delivered to the Smithsonian, but that was s couple years later.

Building a digital ant gallery, from the ground up — Science Friday

I'm not going to bother reading the news articles that expose Banksy's identity. If the world's pedophiles can be granted complete anonymity by every major government and courtroom, the least I can do is grant the same inside my own head to a guy who just wanted to make art people would love.

I’m winding down with two excellent clients I’ve been working with since January, which means I’ve got some availability for new work coming up soon.

If you need a designer who thinks deeply about systems and teams, and who will ooh and/or ahh over an especially pretty serif, I’d love to chat with you!
