When/how does the #SCEE background map get updated?

I opened a location today that I had significantly updated almost 2 years ago. SCEE's map showed the old map, before my changes. POI and quests were for the new changes, but the background map image was old (showing old roads, paths, etc.).

I'm using the latest version (v63.0). #EveryDoor and #CoMaps show the updated map...

Walking round #Hove today reminded me why I much prefer #StreetComplete -ing to the east of #Brighton where I live. So many adjustments to make with regard to building:use=apartments and careful counting along the terraces instead of the lovely detacheds and semis that I’m used to. And what’s with the random distribution of basements? You get a street where only the first ten houses have one (now a separate flat) and then they disappear — it isn’t as if the street slopes. 🤷‍♂️ #OpenStreetMap

I’ve just been going through the street photos I took in Poets Corner over the last few days, trying to add detail to #OpenStreetMap in addition to that which I could add on the fly with #StreetComplete. I was slightly stymied by what I can only assume was an ‘upgrade’ to the Photos app, which seems to be unhelpfully turning the geotagging into street names instead of showing the raw lat/long, and *getting it wrong* by several streets’ distance! Uh.

@organicmaps I have an odd issue with a missing road segment in OM Android that is fine in OSMand and OpenStreetMap. I deleted and redownloaded the Australia/Victoria map but the issue remains. I'd be interested to know if other users can see this - it's the Goulburn Valley Hwy just east of Yea.

On holiday in Brazil and the small town I'm staying in has almost nothing mapped. A couple key POIs are mapped, but, I still was able to add 20 new POIs to the "city centre". A 360 camera would have been a massive help, maybe next time.

@jez Walking challenge accepted! Woah, hundreds of new quests. I had a sunny, pleasant walk around this morning, filling in house numbers and taking plenty of snaps for filling in details later.
