@wordsmith @RayRogers I would keep it active long enough for everyone to transition, code something so that archives can be uploaded to Mastodon accounts, have trust & security consult to people setting up their own servers, etc.

A responsible transition, like from Netscape to Mozilla.

Of course you're not.

But the only way to become a writer good enough to tell that story

Is to write it.

So get writing.
