Things I am seriously loving about Mastodon so far:

• The large character count.
• Extreme personalisation.
• So many apps to choose from (can be daunting, though.)
• Coziness.
• Decoupling from some probably poisonous hobbies, i.e. constant troll & bigot-hunting/reporting.

Hoping more of my faves and friends show up over here!

Definitely feeling the addiction of likes as a metric of the popularity of a post.

On one hand, it is making me truly question the necessity of it. On the other hand, I am floundering a little on how to show I enjoyed a post without actually commenting on it, as I prefer to comment only when I feel like my engagement is actually adding something…

I am realizing that a little thumb’s up is what likes really are for me, personally, as an awkward and somewhat introverted person.
