okay mastodon.world... i am going to be relocating servers. it's been fun hanging out here with you, learning how all of this works together. best of luck, i will retain fond memories of this haphazard place!
does anyone know if migrating an account will retain posts? or is it just followers/following?

for my first substack article, i wrote about the experience of writing my first substack article. i divulge into tangents about the tension between thought and algorithms and the impersonal nature of the internet. check it out here if you like. #writingcommunity

my corner: *crickets*
five minutes past midnight and i already have the sunday scaries.

so many people talking about mastodon as a twitter replacement, jumping ship from twitter and hopping over here. in my view, this is a whole different thing, and it SHOULD be. trying to use mastodon to recreate the twitter experience is a shortsighted, but understandable as it’s what we’re used to.

twitter sucked long before elon took it over. from what i can tell, we have the opportunity here to foster a social platform that sucks a lot less. i’m (cautiously) optimistic about it?

so whats your favourite track on midnights though.
