I bake because it makes me happy right before it makes someone else happy. I was anxious to be sure the cinnamon bread was cooked through in the middle. It's hard to cut it cleanly while warm.
The drizzled frosting is cinnamon and vanilla.
I will drop a loaf off to the grandkids tomorrow. They always slice it up, dip in egg batter and throw it on the griddle for grandma special French toast.
Today has been a good day.
Summer has been the center of our world.

Nothing says #July4 like a big juicy slice of watermelon. This yummy fruit doesn't just appear on our picnic table. It takes a lot of work. An average watermelon weighs 20 pounds. Can you imagine harvesting them in a 98° Bakersfield area field like these workers? #WeFeedYou

Shiney Vaporeon is well under way. I've actually only got a few pieces left to make and I was able to successfully finish the tail and not run out of yarn. Depending on how things go I might have this one done early next week.
