r/UnresolvedMysteries: My dad and I moved to Riverbend, a small town thirty minutes east of Seattle, Washington, five months ago. I supposedly lived here when I was a baby, but I don’t recall anything about here. Redding and Riverbend are similar, but Riverbend is colder. A lot colder.

A new intro for the new folks!

Hi, I'm Sonia. Writing fantasy and other flavours of speculative fiction inspired by Palestinian folklore is my thing.

I'm a Hugo-nominated first reader at Strange Horizons, and I'm currently editing an anthology of Palestinian spec fic for Roseway.

I haven't done an #introduction post! I am a poet and a dad and a husband. I have had poetry published in some great journals like Guernica and Fairy Tale Review and Sixth Finch and a bunch more. I'm probably too active over on Twitter, where you have might seen me getting destroyed for how I cook quesadillas or am not a fan of hiking. Hi y'all!

My stories pub'd this year that are eligible for Nebulas and more.

"The Morthouse" in @thedeadlands, a story of a mother's love and grief. You can read it here: https://thedeadlands.com/issue-12/the-morthouse/

"The Parlor" in @BureauDispatch, about a young (helpless?) girl. https://www.bureaudispatch.com/volume-02/maria-haskins-the-parlor

@litsubmissions - post your #LitMag #submission calls so we can boost and submit.

Follow the group to get its posts. Tag the group in a post to share it with the group. Note: these groups are not moderated.

Please boost!

Digging up a flash CNF I wrote at the beginning of the pandemic published in Atticus Review called "Bearing Witness"—about Holiday, childhood amnesia, and bearing witness to our children's first tentative steps in the world: https://atticusreview.org/bearing-witness/ #writingcommunity #flashfiction

Hello world, we have joined the Mastodon party! We're a small #LitMag publishing cozy slife-of-life #fantasy #fiction. We're still getting set up and figuring out how this place works, but we plan to be more active here soon!
If my 3 yo self knew that at age 40 I'd be tooting a "toot" about tweeting a "tweet" with a telephone program called "tooot", my 3 yo self would be very proud, to say the least.

okay question for the Extended MastoVerse:
Can you show me your workspace? Specifically, the artwork you surround yourself with, for inspiration or just cool points? Here's some of mine, up in my office
