08/06/2026 - Evening walk after work. A slow pace but it just about kept us ahead of the rain.
A few things we saw along the way.
The reddest sycamore helicopters I've ever seen.
Golden dung fly, I always feel a bit sorry for these a bit odd looking flies. Their middle name ain't great.
A tiny little white flower on an old holly tree.
07/06/2026 - A few more wild flower snaps from our walk today π
Trailing St John's-wort
Greater Celandine
Pellitory-of-the-wall
Ground-ivy
This one looks like a crowd of figures in big white gowns and hoods, with pink smiley emoji faces! π€© π»
07/06/2026 - We had a lovely day at Drum Castle in Aberdeenshire today. Looking at wild flowers and bumblebees.
A few snaps for today's #WildFlowerHour π

Wall Speedwell
Changing Forget-me-not
07/06/2026 - A nice visit to the walled garden at Drum Castle in Aberdeenshire today. We sat, had a brew and our butties and watched bees. It was a lovely way to spend the day.
I think (I hope!) this is a forest cuckoo bumblebee π
06/06/2026 - A slow plod from the house today. I was tired and my legs didn't have much zip. The wild flowers by the roadsides were looking lovely.
A few snaps of some new flowers for us for this year.
Kidney Vetch
Phacelia
Bittersweet
Northern Marsh-orchid
