We travel the Spaceways.
Snaps of the stuff we see along the way.

My posts have loads of edits as I can't spell for toffee and I worry too much about the rubbish I write!

21/01/2026 - I had my evening walk at lunchtime today as the rain is coming later.

"On the outskirts of #Copenhagen, one municipality is adjusting its streetlighting system in a way that departs from decades of urban convention. The solution looks minor. A colour change, visible mostly at night, only on certain streets. But the reasons behind the shift reflect a broader convergence of #biodiversity policy, #climate targets and #infrastructure design."

Denmark Is Switching to Red Streetlights, and It Could Revolutionize Urban Lighting Around the World

A quiet suburb near Copenhagen is changing how cities light the night, replacing familiar white streetlights with a color few expect.

20/01/2026 - Walking the quiet roads at night. Mild but the wind was picking up. We were taking the long way back from the chippy.

I'm having an Andy Kirk afternoon whilst I work away. Mary Lou Williams' 'Ghost of Love' might just possibly be my favourite song by the band. Recorded 1938. What a band! Mary Lou on piano and Pha Terrell on vocals. I'm a massive fan of Pha's singing. They were with Andy Kirk's Clouds of Joy for about 8 years. It's proper cheering me up on a dull afternoon at work.

18/012/026 - Early bus into town to have a walk to the sea. Morning twilight through the harbour. Quiet just me and a fox. Sunrise near the lighthouse. People about now but not many. A few nice birds, noisy gulls and oystercatchers mainly.
17/01/2026 - The cows looked fed up with the weather today. I was a bit too. I had a morning walk up the hill. I had to move quicker than normal to get home before the rain came, just made it back in time. Quiet on the hill, some nice birds about, goldcrest, bullfinch, treecreeper and coal tit were my favourites of the ones I saw. Home now and looks like it's a feet up and watch telly sort of afternoon coming up for me.
