One of my favorite orchids is blooming right now. 🥰 I can see it from my desk.

I'm glad that I seem to have found a spot it likes - in the crook of an 'ohi'a tree. I've had succes with phalaenopsis up in the crooks of trees, so that their base is in shade, but the flower stalk can pop out into the clear area outside the tree/bush (presumably to be visible to pollinators).

Orchids at Herrington Country Park in Sunderland on the cusp of the summer with the solstice occurring on Sunday this weekend.
Unless someone informs me otherwise, I am thinking these are Marsh Orchids (Dactylorhiza majalis), which I spotted, appropriately enough, growing in the wet marshy area around one of the park's ponds.
