7/ Finally we heard from Egor Kotov @EgorKotov who came all the way from Rostock to discuss the increasing availability of open and freely-available mobile network mobility data. This data enables all sorts of analysis that was previously impossible and is a significant improvement on traditional mobility surveys. He shared the example of work he and colleagues have done in Spain.

The project analyses how #OpenStreetMap can complement satellite data in tracking land cover change in Germany.
This approach contributes to LaVerDi (Landschaftsveränderungsdienst), a public service by the German Agency for Cartography and Geodesy, offering free, regularly updated geodata on land cover change across Germany.
