This picture of Doug Ford is priceless and says so much about him.
I'm happy to hear that the #TTC reached a tentative settlement last night. I don't want to see Toronto's public transit #privitized and I hope that the transit workers who keep #Toronto functioning are treated fairly. A public service is for the public good. A private company's mandate is to grow profit.
Can you imagine if the TTC had surge pricing like uber?!

Today is World Bicycle Day, a day to promote cycling as a āsustainable, accessible and inclusive, low-cost and healthy form of transportā.
We celebrated on Saturday and participated in #WorldBikeDay ride with some European embassies. Thank you to the Polish embassy for organizing.
Also check out the European declaration on cycling adopted in April 2024. Worth a read.

As reported on the homepage of the Minister-President: Independent, sustainable, secure: Schleswig-Holstein will be a digital pioneer region and the first German state to introduce a digitally sovereign IT workplace in its state administration. With a cabinet decision to introduce the open-source software LibreOffice as the standard office solution across the board, the government has given the go-ahead for the first step towards complete digital sovereignty in the state, with further steps to follow. The term digital sovereignty is very important here. If a public administration uses proprietary, closed software that canāt be studied or modified, it is very difficult to know what happens to usersā data: We have no influence on the operating processes of such [proprietary] solutions and the handling of data, including a possible outflow of data to third countries. As a state, we have a great responsibility towards our citizens and companies to ensure that their data is kept safe with us and we
