On Thursday, 3 July, at 08:00, I leave on a great adventure. I am taking part in the Oslo Bergen Trail in Norway.
Along the way there are 8 check points where I can get supplies and possibly sleep. For the rest, I am self-supported. My pack with all the mandatory kit and the necessary food and drink weighs about 9kg.

I usually say that my ancestors were kicked out of Canada, but at least one emigrated for love. My great-great grandfather John Bazinet, born in Montreal, fell in love with American Philomena Bertrand. They married and moved in 1867 to my hometown in northern New York, where they lived the rest of their lives and had roughly a bazillion kids together. 💞
