He was human i.e. had somewhat low cognitive power to understand that his late hatred of militarism was at the very core of fascism, but he died still saying he believed in fascism as at an earlier stage or something. Anyway, people are just somewhat dumb but still needing care. There are more ways to help than just getting out of reach... as long as they hear.

Many of us in the #globalsouth have been using #twitter before 'Muskian takeover' happened and are still using it cos it's still used by majority of the activists in places like #pakistan #india #bangladesh #southasia and leaving X would turn it into something like TruthSocial or Bsky

As I said earlier, people who are not Neo-Naziz or white supremacists are still there, here in #Pakistan the govt banned #X not because it had issues with Musk but dissident voices against the meddling of military in the elections, jailing people over trumped up charges !

Local activists, etc cannot just dump twitter on a whim when they don't have the local audience on that platform, and most of us here don't even have paid X accounts

Proton handed data to the Swiss govt when an official request came in, X is like a 📢 and the people I am talking about are already under govt crackdown and only "mainstream social media platforms" has worked for them

TBF, it's very hard to consume ethically under capitalism, even in one subcategory. It's impossible if you don't have a time to make it a hobby/lifestyle.

For example, you can replace X with Mastodon, ofc, but not if you're into following political accounts. Then the alternatives are all commercial, and they're all fascist-adjacent.

@RonSupportsYou I remember this. It's worse than that. When he asked how much it would cost he also offered to pay for it if it was less than some number of billions. I forget the exact figure. The WHO costed it at below that cost. Musk then got very quiet on the topic. _Then_ he bought twitter. And tried to welch on that deal having refused to do due diligence, and was sued into honouring the contract he agreed too.

2) Mr. Musk is likely to say whatever comes to his mind, especially if he thinks it will sell something. E.g. his 'Mars Colony' idea is *impossible* to realize in many, many ways ... whether he knew that or not it didn't matter to him.
