Afghanistan’s Minister of Defense, Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, returned to Kabul today from Russia.

The Minister indicated that the trip was very successful. In brief remarks to the media, he stated, “Pakistan will not dare to attack Afghan soil again in the near future.”

It is noteworthy that the Minister of Defense traveled to Moscow to participate in the International Security Conference, initiated by the Russian Security Council, during which a significant military-technical agreement was also signed with Russia.

Local officials in Torkham have told Radio Hurriyet that the Torkham gate was reopened this morning at seven o'clock for returnees.

The gate had been closed for four days for Eid al-Fitr holidays.

It is worth noting that the Torkham and Spin Boldak routes are generally open for travelers, but these and all other routes are linked to Pakistan for trade and transit.
