I think it's worth looking into, if #USA ground #troops would operate from #pakistan to "invade" #iran as part of efforts to open #StraitOfHormuz. #usa military would operate close to #gwadar port which would conveniently disrupt the #pakistan #china economic corridor (reduce #oil transit to #china from 12k km by sea, to 3k km by land). this would be similar to #british #empire occupation of #basra in #iraq to cut #Berlin #Baghdad #rail, which eventually triggered WW1

@hszakher The geopolitical strategy behind #iranwar is to cut #china off from energy. Once America is done in #iran it will pivot to China.

Although entry via Pakistan does give a land border for this war, the distances involved and the geography that ground troops would have to traverse, is unrealistic to be of any use in an attempt at opening the Strait of Hormuz.

@Rastal probably #Kharg island is a decoy threat. the idea would be to try to cease #Hormuz from that side with an option to retreat into "friendly" country if there is a need, with access to open waters (compared to kharg where they will be sitting ducks).
@Rastal kharg island, if USA would actually try to cease it, would probably make sense to attack it from Kuwait side. unlike what media is promoting that US navy would go through #StraitOfHormuz . this might explain the recet #iran attacks on kuwaiti ports knocking them out of operation.
