"Following the release of Iran’s version of the MOU, with portions of it including significant releases of Iranian funds and assets and nominal control over the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. President Donald J. Trump has refuted the details of that version.

Per President Trump’s statement, the agreement between the U.S. and Iran does not include many of the details that were released by Iran, saying

“The terms that Iran leaked out to the Fake News have NOTHING to do with the terms that were agreed to, in writing.”

The negotiations process has long been characterized by such contradictory rhetoric, as both nations seek to characterize the talks as going in their favor."
