"Palantir CEO Alex Karp thinks his AI technology will lessen the power of “highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat” while increasing the power of working-class men.

“This technology disrupts humanities-trained—largely Democratic—voters, and makes their economic power less. And increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working-class, often male, working-class voters....”

Palantir CEO Makes Shocking Confession on Disrupting Democratic Power

They’re saying the quiet part out loud now.

@sonjdol

Alex Karp - Wikipedia

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @sonjdol (Nothing to do with his mother but still, from Wiki)

"Karp has condemned "woke" ways of thinking, calling them the central risk to his company Palantir..."
Well that's just great. The founder of the mass surveillance system, who's entire world view revolves around power through aggression, views the left as the central risk to his surveillance company's existence. I'm sure that won't lead to surveillance and persecution of people with left-wing ideologies. Surely.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @sonjdol and the women who have consistently told him “No” throughout his life
@sonjdol CEO of bullshit engines that target and kill people spews bullshit to prop up share price

@sonjdol

FFS… file a lawsuit!

@sonjdol Palantir is EVIL.
@59b there you are 100 percent right! He is part of the Heritage Foundation and Project 25, where they want to send the population back to the middle ages. @sonjdol

@sonjdol

I know he thinks this implies a deep strategic win by the plutocratic class and its drive to reverse centuries of human progress but I have to say I don’t think he really knows much about how working class people of any educational tier actually think, and how they will vote. Sure you can pull a Trump or Brexit once or twice if you control the media. But inequality and repression eventually bite and then the working classes eat the rich, burn their palaces, and behead kings

@helvick @sonjdol I think he also misunderstands how progress and civilizational foundations actually work and is basically helping to destabilize structures that also keep oligarchs safe from crowds with sharp and pointy objects
@metaphase @helvick @sonjdol he's betting that surveillance tech is going to prevent the crowds with sharp sticks from even forming. And it might, at least for a little while, but not forever.
@Spirit @helvick @sonjdol Yes it's a very hubristic bet as sharp sticks do not require oil, electricity, chips, or fertilizer to operate. They are however summoned by mass hunger.
@sonjdol Well, he's not fully saying the quiet parts out loud - that would be "taking power away from intelligent women & giving it to stupid men", because that's how they see the working class dudes The Right™️ has made a carreer out of pretending to fight for...
@sonjdol Generally, the conservatives and of course, the far-right want to reduce the participation of women. The very conservative influencer #tradwife want girls and women to marry being young, have children and die everything for their husbands, that work so much, instead of learning, studying and ve informed.
They know that women vote less the far-right than men.

@sonjdol

Thats why USTech and AI (Plantir and more) should be regulated and abandoned by any sane Governments.

#us #boycutustech #eu #trump

@sonjdol what technology? Spark clusters with a data modeling layer feeding models and a low/no-code app building capability? Palantir software is not all that and a bag of chips. And there were so many educated women in that app and data pipeline development business.

@sonjdol

Nobody is increasing the power of anyone 'working class'.

The only target is to make the rich even richer while keeping the 'working class' in their little boxes.

#ukgovernment #corruption is disgusting
#ukpol

@sonjdol sure make those educated women unemployed...and then see what happens... Watch the wave of community organisers rise from the ashes of broken world. You think women will quietly go away? Dumbass! Those women are more powerful and dangerous when unemployed. Keeping them employed is keeping you safe fuckwit.
@sonjdol twisting the words of people I disagree with is the fastest way to join them

@sonjdol Interesting times we live in where people say this shit out loud. What he mans though is he wants to disenfranchise the women he refers, but also the working class. So the second part is a lie. Power to the rich and privileged, damn the rest. He and his company is so contemptible, yet people are sucked into his shit.

@sonjdol "humanities-trained"

The same humanities-trained that were able to find jobs while CS graduates couldn't? The ones whose critical thinking skills are in short supply with the rise of LLM offloading?

Hilarious.

@sonjdol
Don't worry guys. An illiterate white man baby who uses AI to pretend to have skills is still an illiterate white man baby. He's merely poorer for the fees he paid the AI company to misrepresent himself.

Disclaimer: i am a white man baby, but i am not illiterate.

@sonjdol as a non USian I think it's interesting that this article defines Democrats as an academic elite party and Republicans as working class party. and no one objects to that definition here. guess that's just how it is now, eh.

@kolya @sonjdol

Ah. It certainly depends on the source of lies. According to regime media New York Times (January 2024) article cited USA Today poll "finding that 60% of college-educated supported Donald Trump"

@ohir @kolya colleg-education can be in many fields other than humanities
@kolya @sonjdol Yes, & it is wrong. The CEO of Palantir has a B.A. in philosophy from an elite college, as well as a J.D. & PhD in philosophy! And those workers in the U.S. who struggle for unionization & a living wage are hardly his (& our current government's) audience. We have a bad habit of reducing everything to a battle of the sexes, education, etc., & it's an important discussion to have for our country. But capitalists exploit those divisions to advance capital (at the workers' expense).
@sonjdol how come this does not count as affirmative action? 👀
@sonjdol I would be surprised only hearing sensible words coming from these persons. You don't expect to find nice smell and clean things in a sewage, when it's operating.

@sonjdol @Elodie_lyra

May the Testicle Faeré pay this schmuck a visit and cancel his low rent immortality

@sonjdol only experts get benefits from the new chatbots. The rest will not recognize the mistakes and get punished for it.
@sonjdol
Fook that fool & his company.
@donhawkins @sonjdol why is that whenever people suggest we #EatTheRich, you always suggest the ones that are most full of shit? ;)

@sonjdol The interview excerpt is borderline incoherent. I can't summarize what he was trying to say. I can't believe he's a CEO.

Is it the panopticon his company is building, or the AI they're hoping to plug that in to, that he thinks will impoverish educated women? I can't tell. I'm not CEO brained enough.

This is the guy who publicly fantasizes about remote-control spraying fentanyl and piss on journalists who he views as business enemies.

@sonjdol

Wow. Just saying the quiet part out loud.

@sonjdol
A tool for the Patriarchy describes the tool for the Patriarchy they are building to make women enslaved and oppressed.

If you use AI, please consider yourself a contributing member of the slave owner Epstein class—another tool of the patriarchy.

@sonjdol @Em0nM4stodon when someone eventually kills this guy, no one's gonna be sad
@sonjdol and the evil is just out there in the open
@sonjdol It's only "shocking" if you haven't been paying attention.
@sonjdol So let's just play this through; Palantir deploys, women are debased, set adrift, rudderless, and the 'bros just, what, step up? I think he might be surprised that cancelling the educated classes (the majority of whom are - to stay with the narrative - chromosomally challenged?) results in a generation of men STRAIGHT OUT of a video-nasty '80s 'cannibal' schlocker. I can't see that demographic voting, can you?
@sonjdol that is not how voting works, but this is self drugged money addict craze ramblings.
